Okay people…I’m obviously a few days behind as far as outfit posts are concerned, so here are the outfits from the past three days all in one post. The only thing I’ll say is that comfort has been the theme of this week’s wardrobe remix…not to mention SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE! Why? Well my creative mojo for outfits has long been used up and a lot of my more favored pieces are in the laundry basket awaiting their bi-weekly bath.
But hopefully, I’ve been coming up with acceptable outfits. I’m not even going to hope for “cute” or “nice” because that’s way to far of a stretch, this being the final week of the August Remix. Plus, I lost my favorite belt…and I’ve had to do without all week. I never knew how much I relied on that belt…until this week.
Day 26 of 31: The “Cheat” Outfit
Shirt – Banana Republic Factory Store Cowl Neck Blue Top (old); Pants – The Crosby Street Double Stretch Mini Bootcut Pant (Beige Heather Petite); Shoes – G.H. Bass & Co. Outlet Taupe Flats (old); Necklace – Pearl Necklace (gift)
Remember my last post when I said I had cheated and purchased new dress pants? Well, here is one of the two purchased over the weekend. I’ve been looking for a more fitted pant, and these will do nicely. In fact, they may replace this monstrosity for good (or until I gain weight and can’t fit in these anymore).
Day 27 of 31: Pretty in Lace
It was only a matter of time I would be wearing something near identical to an outfit I had worn earlier in the month. Remember this outfit? All of the pieces are identical excepting one – the dress. Yes, they are both lace dresses, but this one is much less fitted and more casual. Otherwise…except the missing bracelets…exactly the same.
Day 28 of 31: “To Heck With It” Casual
T-Shirt – Banana Republic Timeless V-Neck Tee; Cardigan – c/o Marshalls (old); Pants – Tommy Hilfiger Company Store Modern Bootcut Dark Wash Jeans (similar); Shoes – G.H. Bass & Co. Outlet Taupe Flats (old); Necklace – gift from InChul (Nicaragua Mission Trip)
When I woke up this morning, I really did try to pull together something more professional. But knowing that it would be another day sitting in front of a computer (no meetings…no students…no faculty interaction), I decided to heck with it and wear my favorite t-shirt (ALL time favorite…everyone should have this one!) with my nice jeans. It definitely put me in the right frame of mind to tackle the one task I was able to get done today (literally…ONE!). Needless to say, it was a rough day that I was MORE than eager to end.
