Fall officially made it’s debut in Michigan about 3 days ago. One day, we were loving clear skies, bright sun, and temperatures in the seventies. Next thing we know, we’re pulling out our knee high boots, fleece lined leggings, sweaters, scarves, and jacket/coats from the recesses of our closets/storage unit where they had been banished.
In the past, I was never one to actually enjoy a nice chill in the air (other than to use such weather as excuse to stay indoors, wrapped up in a cozy blanket watching TV and drinking a warm beverage). But now I know that cooler fall weather means we get to final wear our boots and all the cute layering items. Layering, after all, is the FUNNEST part of putting together outfits! You get to play with the color, pattern, and texture combinations, accessorizing with all those cute fall accessories – scarves and hats – and wear boots without passers-by staring at you as if you were completely out of your mind. That happens, you know…when you wear boots in seventy to eighty degree “summer” weather.
So yes…I’m glad that fall has finally arrived. I’m looking forward to putting together a whole new season of outfits with the pieces I’ve been DYING to wear since September (when fall was SUPPOSED to start).
