Springing Forward (The End is Near)

Top – J. Crew Factory Printed Voile Popover Shirt; Jacket – J. Crew Factory Riptop Utility Jacket; Jeans – Levi’s Modern Demi Curve Skinny Jeans; Shoes – Bare Traps Kinship Boot (c/o DSW); Necklace – Olivia Welles Sunburst Drop Pendant Necklace (c/o; Purse – Coach Factory Store Shoulder Bag (2011)

I don’t think I have EVER been as desperate as I am this year for Spring to arrive. After a winter of constant sub-zero temperatures, a forecast of anything in the 30s to 40s (and, dare I say it, 50s!!) is cause for celebration (we’re talking Fahrenheit folks).  Unfortunately, the weather has been playing a cruel joke of dropping weekend temperatures back into the 20s after a week of my sitting in an office during “sunny and in the 40s/50s” weather.

Michigan weather is just downright MEAN!

Well, whether Spring decides to finally grace us with warmer temperatures anytime soon or not, I’m fully in Spring wardrobe mode.  I’ll normally put together an outfit like this and then throw a coat over it. It’s almost as if I think that if I dress for it, warmer weather will finally get the point and make its way to the Midwestern United States. It hasn’t worked yet, but I’m determined not to give in (I’ve even put my heavy winter parka away in my stand against the tyranny of winter).

Because, in time, I know I’ll win. So THERE!

  1. Thank you! I love this jacket. One of the best purchases I ever made! I totally know what you mean by wearing it all the time.

It seems the GFC “follow” function is currently down (I tried following you through it as well). Hopefully they will fix the problem soon. Until then, see you on BlogLovin'!
